The Role
The Website & Email Manager (Contract) is responsible for executing the TSO’s email communications program and overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of TSO.CA, ensuring both are accurate, timely, user-friendly, and aligned with TSO brand standards.

Music Director Gustavo Gimeno brings artistic vision and a sense of adventure to the 93-musician orchestra. Engaging audiences of all ages, the TSO leads a myriad of education, health-and-well-being, and community-access programs, including the tuition-free Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, cultivating the next generation of Canadian artists.
What you’ll do
● Using Wordfly, build, test, and deploy all Marketing & Communications email campaigns and support additional departmental email needs as required.
● With the Sr. Marketing Manager, Communications Manager, and others, maintain the accuracy of the Communications Schedule, including segmentation and timely delivery of patron-facing email communications.
● Maintain and update content across all sections of TSO.CA, working with departmental stakeholders to ensure event, organizational, and transactional information is current and accurate.
● Regularly audit all sections of the website, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
● Support ongoing website improvements by identifying opportunities related to user experience, navigation, SEO, and content structure.
● Work closely with the Manager of Ticketing Operations to support a seamless user experience for ticket buyers and subscribers.
● With the Sr. Director of Marketing, serve as a point of contact with external digital agencies on matters related to email and TSO.CA.
● Manage layout and wireframing of new and existing pages within the content management system.
● Regularly report on web, social, and email analytics; advise on data-driven strategies to optimize these channels.
● Serve as a resource for best practices related to email communications, including CASL compliance and effective patron communication.
● Act as a point of support for digital content standards, including accessibility and usability considerations.
● Work cross-departmentally to coordinate website updates and email communications across multiple stakeholders and timelines.
● Ensure consistency and accuracy across digital channels, supporting both informational and revenue-generating communications.
What you’ll bring
● Well-versed in the use of content management systems (CMS); familiarity with SilverStripe is an asset.
● Skilled user of email-marketing solutions; experience with WordFly is an asset.
● Working knowledge of web and social metrics, including Google Analytics 4 (GA4).
● Understanding of web accessibility principles, as outlined by Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).
● Understanding of best practices for email communications, as outlined by and Canada's anti-spam legislation (CASL).
● Experience working with online ticketing systems, particularly Tessitura, is an asset.
● Experience with spreadsheets and tracking tools for digital reporting and budgeting is an asset.
● Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality assurance, particularly when reviewing email communications, web content, links, and patron-facing information.
● Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing requests from across the organization.
● Sound judgement and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to identifying and resolving digital communications issues.
Compensation
Salary range: $65,000–$73,000 CAD

● Requires regular use of a keyboard, mouse, and digital tools for content management and email deployment.
● Requires visual attention to detail when reviewing and editing digital content.
● Occasional need to respond to time-sensitive issues, particularly related to email deployment or website updates.
Compensation
$65,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
